Let's make sure I got this right.... I usually use the standard super slinkys on my basses. I just put a set of EB Group II flats on my 25th. If I understand this -- the Group IIs require more string tension to acheive standard tuning -- this results in a bit more bow to the neck and the action is a bit higher than what I had with the super slinkys. So, to compensate and return to the lower action, I need to rotate the wheel thingy down/clockwise, correct? I've been doing this in small increments and I can really feel the wheel resistance build with each small adjustment. Normal right? I'm just feeling the load on the trusrod increase as it works against the tighter strings to get the bow back out of the neck? I should take this in small increments (1/8 of a turn) and let the thing settle for a bit, right? Thx...
