Hello,

I am the happy owner of a new Albert Lee model. I can't find anything that came with the guitar, nor on the website for clarification on the active electronics built into the guitar. Here are my questions:

1) I am only aware of the active electronics because of the 9 volt battery door on the back. How and under what circumstances do the active electronics "kick-in"?

2) Does keeping the chord plugged into the guitar drain the battery?

Thanks for any responses!

Hello and welcome

The pickups are not active. If you remove the battery, your guitar will still sing !
The battery is for the silent circuit. It removes the hum of the single coils.
The current draw is very small thus the battery can live quite a long time.

Beautiful guitar by the way !
