Greetings. Question on the passive mode on the 25th bass. I think I understand that with the EQ set flat, the level of the bass output is about the same, active vs. inactive. The bass had a sticker on it that said to use the high impedence input on the amp (if I recall it correctly). So, that means this bass should be plugged into the "passive" input on my amp regardless of the position of the basses passive/active switch? Thanks for any clarification...

Run it into the passive... Unless the amp is clipping or distorting always run it in the passive, cleaner signal, best possible sound. I was confused about this too but there was a very helpful thread a few months back that helped me.

Really whatever sounds best is the true answer, but there is nothing wrong with running an active bass into the passive input. Just watch your gain and clipping.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: Here are a couple threads that might help...

Excellent!! Very helpful and the bass sounds wonderful plugged into the passive input.

Of course, 'cause through passive input signal goes directly to the preamp, and avoiding resistor on active input!

But if there's some overdrive clipping or distortion, use active input like Manfloozy said! ;)
