I figured out what was wrong I believe on my JP7 with that static white noise in piezo mode on one of my strings..as I adjusted the saddle and tuned it went away. But since I've never messed with a trem I dont understand when I tune one string another string goes out of tune. I feel like I'm hving to tune quite frequently...

any tricks in helping me not have to bring it in for set up

do you guys adjust the saddle yourself?

any ideas why it might be going out of tune so fast?

sorry for the noob questions just cant wait to really dig into my jp7!!

The John Petrucci model guitars have a recessed, floating tremolo in them. Any time you make an adjustment to the tuning of one string, this changes the tension on the springs which hold the tremolo in its floating position. When set up properly, there will be a balance between the tension of the tremolo springs and the strings.

Since you seem to be a bit confused and possibly uncomfortable with the set up of your guitar, I would suggest taking the guitar to a technician to have them set it up. Also, don't forget the wonderful Customer Service we receive from Music Man.

Hope this helps.
