Just finish the tru-oil wax procedure for my AL. Did my first adjustment of the truss rod / adjusting the action of the AL, and it's a piece of cake!! Now I can get action as low as I want, without getting any fret buzz!:p

Qns: With things like this, do we need anymore tech? haha :D

Haha! Yeah, I would never touch a truss rod on another guitar, but MM are soooo easy to adjust. I have a little rattle on my first 2 frets, but I can live with that. If I can't then a little turn and its gone. Sweeet!

Do it, Tony! Get that perfect action - you'll be in heaven!

Did I mention that NO special tools required? Just a 3mm diameter screwdriver! Anyone can do it! :D

Adjusting the "truss rod" is just an alternative way of playing the guitar - funnnn!!

Isn't maintaining a guitar supposed to be as enjoyable as playing the guitar??

Oh yeah, if it's a MM!!

I love the trussrod's on my EBMM's. For what its worth my tech actually told me "your guitars are the easiest I've ever worked on". So now he doesn't charge me for setups or anything. Love it.

My guitar teacher has a Telecaster, the strings started buzzing a couple months when it got cold here. He said he needs to adjust the truss rod, but is putting it off because of the hassle of taking the neck off. Now I make a point of at least pretending to adjust the rod on my Silo Special every other lesson or so. I go, "Oops, looks like this warm weather messed with my neck", I turn the wheel a 1/16 of a turn or so, and go "That's better!". He's been poker-faced about it, unitl last week, he finally lost it and called me a compound curseword I'd never heard before. :)
