Adjusting to the stingray

Make sure you set-up your string height to spec, then adjust your pickup height. I actually experience more string noise when the action is too high. If the action is set too high, there is a lot more string "travel" when pressing down on the strings - with a lower (factory spec) string height, there is less movement of your fingers and strings to fret, reducing string noise. That's just my experience.

I had my bass and treble knobs almost entirely open AND a smiley on my amp
daaarn, if I put it all flat the noise is almost completely gone
