Ok, I want some opinions on this. I have a black *RS McCarty Soapbar Standard with a Rosewood neck. Apparently, they didn't make too many of these (roughly 20-30 or so). It's a nice and simple guitar, and for anyone who has played an all rosewood neck, knows that it feels absolutely great.
Here is the problem. I just don't like the way it sounds. I've even tried boutique, custom p-90-sized humbuckers in it. I'm not sure if it's the rosewood neck that affects the sound so much, or what.
Now, I have this OLP Silo Special that I simply love! Great sound, great versatility, and a great neck.
What do you say if I offer my *RS guitar for trade for that white sparke silo at GC?
Is there that big a difference between the 22 fret guitar and 24 fret guitar?
Or.........should I just sell mine, and order a new silo special?
