Hi guys,
i know its not new for some of you forumities but for me.
i purchased a albert lee p90 on TGP (it also was listed here) and was very unsure if it wouldt fit my needs. i am an HB guy (3 ASS, luke, 20th, SM, JP6) and not a stratguy at all. all other guitars are LP types (McInturffs, heritages, ....).
now after about 4 weeks of playing, practicing and gigging the albert lee i am completely enthusiastic of that guitar.
versatility, handling and of course the sound of position 1(neck) 2 and 4 are absolutely stunning. now again i get questions which guitaqr that is (from guitarsts hearing it at gigs).
i gig it through my beloved axe fx from fractal audio and i have everything i need.

the only thing i am still lusting for is a dargie AL.

heres a soundexample i quickly recorded. the wah guitar is the AL.

no breaking news for you. but a cool story for me.
thanks guys for all your tempting AL storys....

Auge,

Glad you like my former AL and I'm happy it found a good home with you! It is a fantastic guitar but at the end of the day just wasn't right for me. :(

As for me you can see what I'm playing these days in my avatar.:D

I think it's great that forumites hook each other up with their EB's. At least you know that the guitar is going to a loving home!

Hey Augustyn - a big warm welcome to the ALOC.

I was a gibson guy all my gigging life and was so used to the twin h/b's on my Gibson SG and then my 3 h/b pickup Les Paul.

I saw the light and was converted to the AL - almost buying a strat beforehand.

I hang around with Strat players a lot and they have to admit the the AL is one fine playing axe.

It will cover all bases.
- hang onto it, and your "love" will grow.

Great stuff that you posted a sound clip too. (thumbs up!)

HEY,

look at me. perfect exmpl. After 3 JP6, now got sucked in and ordered an AL.
cult following I hear.

BTW, if I played the bass, I WOULD own a BONGO. I think they are the schnitz.

Hey Auge . . . .

Recognized you from the Axe FX forum. The AFX is pretty incredible, isn't it?

Ah . . . um . . . oh yeah, Music Man guitars . . .

I have an ASS and a Luke, love em both.

Cheers
Brian

thx guys for your posts and your opinions.
BTW, if i ever invest in a bassguitar a bongo is a must. since i am more in recording (at home) i'd need a bass (new GAS field...how cool). my old washburn is really cheap and crappy...

and thanks for the *thumbs up* for the clip...

today i had to record some fills and licks and again the AL was the choice...funny....
