Hey Bassmonkey... just for an idea of sorts, this is how I have the EQ set on my 1001.

Hope it's at all helpful.

Note: This is how I have it set with the Neo cabs.

As I understand it, the Contour knob scoops out the mids. Then you have the mids boosted in your EQ section. Wouldn't these two settings cancel each other out a bit?

Guess I should make some more time to mess with my GK and find out for myself I suppose.

Welp, i've diddled around with the amp a whole lot in the past year and a half and thought that as well but it just sounds good so I keep it there.

That's the important thing right there, eh? I need to make time to mess with my amps. I'm lucky that I get to practice during lunch at work or I'd have to play in my sleep.
