Just bought an Axis. It is translucent red, fixed bridge, volume knob and selector only. SN is A91687.

Anyway of determining its approx age?

There is no formula to figure out the age from the serial #. Someone from EBMM may see the thread title and be able to look it up for you, which they do as a courtesy. You may also want to post the serial # in the official serial number thread, which they also check on.

Nice hard tail by the way.

EBMM doesn't work Fridays or they have limited coverage. If you don't get a reply today, bump this thread first thing on Monday or Tuesday.

I have a 1997 Axis hardtail that is only a few hundred off from your SN. While they weren't made in sequential order (neck plates were picked at random), it's probably from that same year, give or take about 6 months.

Bump it for the EBMM folks.
