So I'm up at my Moms watching her favorite Saturday night TV show, Lawrence Welk on PBS and lo and behold the bass guy had a SR4 and of course it sounded great!

This was from probably the late 70's and on the song he was featured on the intro, polka vibe and all, the ax sounded great!

.... that made my night. :D

Chuck,

My office was in the William Penn hotel in Pittsburgh for a decade or so. LW used to play in the lobby.. the Terrace Room.. and that's where they first started the bubbles. There's an ancient bubble machine that was made just for LW and the hotel still has it.. and it still works! The bubbles went hand-in-hand with the 'champagne music'.

Also, my grandmother's half-brother played accordian for LW in the William Penn. I'm not sure if it was one time or if he was a regular or what.

LW's license plate was "A1ANA2" or something like that.. hahaha.

Oh man, that is exactly what I thought (LW) when I saw the title of your thread...that's a little bit scary. My dads favorite show too. I watched once in a while with him. Brings back some good memories.....Thanks Psycho
