So....I have a 25th Anniversary HSS Quilt top, rosewood fretboard, maple neck. I also have a Big Al SSS, Black and Maple.
I love both of these basses! I got the 25th first. Then I got the Big Al because I didn't want to beat-up the 25th and I figured the electronics were similar enough to where I could have my tone regardless of which bass I have. Since I've got the Big Al, I play it more. It is just the Bass I pick up when I am, i take it to practice. I have gigged the 25th twice and now I don't want to do that because I sweat under those lights.
So, now I am wondering if I need to keep the 25th, I am a student, and really can't afford a bass that just sits. So, now I am wondering why if I should sell both of those basses and buy a Game Changer and get several hundred back into my pocket (which I could use), or if I should just sell the 25th, play the crap out of the Big Al, and use the money for several other pieces of gear and more money in my pocket (which I could use). The thinking behind this is, that in a year and a half, I'll have a degree and can afford a Game Changer then and the Big Al is definately great enough to get me to that point.
Any suggestions?
