So....I have a 25th Anniversary HSS Quilt top, rosewood fretboard, maple neck. I also have a Big Al SSS, Black and Maple.
I love both of these basses! I got the 25th first. Then I got the Big Al because I didn't want to beat-up the 25th and I figured the electronics were similar enough to where I could have my tone regardless of which bass I have. Since I've got the Big Al, I play it more. It is just the Bass I pick up when I am, i take it to practice. I have gigged the 25th twice and now I don't want to do that because I sweat under those lights.
So, now I am wondering if I need to keep the 25th, I am a student, and really can't afford a bass that just sits. So, now I am wondering why if I should sell both of those basses and buy a Game Changer and get several hundred back into my pocket (which I could use), or if I should just sell the 25th, play the crap out of the Big Al, and use the money for several other pieces of gear and more money in my pocket (which I could use). The thinking behind this is, that in a year and a half, I'll have a degree and can afford a Game Changer then and the Big Al is definately great enough to get me to that point.
Any suggestions?

Good choice! Who knows what will be developed at EB in the next couple of years. The next gotta have, although with everything I have read the GC will be hard to beat..............

The 25th is a beauty but if you're not playing it and could use some cash it's just money sitting in the closet. There will be opportunity for other beauties in the future.
