so this afternoon I went in to record a couple of songs for a friend that I plat for, Brian Doerksen, and this was the 2nd time in a week that I walked in and had the guys in "the booth" commenting repeatedly over my tone. which is, ofcourse, Bongo 5 - Slinky 5s - SVT DI - to the ProTools domain.
man, takes a huge amount of red light fear away when you know that you sound good.... the only thing left is to, well, sound good
Yes, them Bongos is good.
and btw, I've been monkeying around lately with different gauges of strings and brands but swapped back to good ol' green Slinks and man, what a great match.
pd.
.....oh ya, and the Bass on the on-board Christina was only boosted a little so it was predominantly a EBMM/Davyduck-kolbasa-fingers tone
