yep, finally sitting down to get the song Cupid's Dead by Extreme figured and under the philanges. not exactly the best tune to try and be learning since stepping up my gauge of strings from 105-45s to 110-55s...
oh well, fun none the less

That sounds more like a full size panty to me! :D
hey, now just because some of us prefer a more full figured string.... :p

but ya, these things are cables but man does it sound wild! and ya, all the notes on that size of G just seem to 'pop' all on their own.

I agree completely, Psychicpet-Power Slinkys are great! I have a set on the Daion right now, and I've never heard that bass sound like it does. However, having that gauge of string on a 35" scale with an angled headstock and strings-through bridge makes it feel kind of tight...;)

hey, I'm liking the sound of that 82! "Psychicpet-Power Slinks".......:D :D
now if the stainless came in a 110-55 with a 130 for the B... then that would be the true Psychicpet set :p :p

I'm sure I've got a few platinum selling tunes around here somewhere to get that ball rolling (nice pun eh?!) hehehhehehe

Congrats on your effort, man. "Cupid's Dead" is an ultra-cool rock tune and, needless to say if you're currently trying to learn it, that loong guitar/bass duo is simply awesome. I played the song for the first time two years ago and remember that both me and the guitar player did a serious work memorizing and assembling that section. Nuno Bettencourt's syncopations are brilliant. Good luck and let me know if you need some help!

P.S.: Some months ago I saw a video of a Nuno solo concert in which he played the tune with a slow, bluesy character and reserved the uptempo for the duo. Pretty cool!

Yeppers...they could be marketed with some sort of jingle....oh, I don't know....maybe....

"There was a young man who played Bongos
Who thought that his fingers were strong-o
Psychicpet Power Slinks?
'Kin huge strings is what he thinks
So now his g-string is thicker than it's long-o."

Ok...so it needs some work.....aah, just ship it off to Randy Newman and add some reverb........

:p ;) :D
