good choice? I'm looking for a hotter pup and I cant stand the single coil hum currently. You think I should change the middle one too? or leave it as is.

I went with a duncam distortion and 2 texas specials in my silo special - love them all, I might be willing to change the single coils one day though, but thats a nice pup your considering, best thing to do is find a guitar, any strat or alder guitar that has those pups and check them out, if not I think dimarzio has a great return policy on their pups -

I was going to take out the paf aswell and put something hotter too and less vintagy, also the question was should i just leave the middle stock coil there even if I change to new neck/bridge pup, or will there be some issue since the middle stock is pretty low output

Air Norton is the closest choice to the custom made Axis neck PUP. I love it in the neck position. Go for it

how are duncans for the single coil stuff in the neck?, I never had tried much from them , always went to dimarzio,
