OK. Preface. I thought I was a Silo /Luke guy. Just got back from GC, dropping off my new, OK semi-new Silo 30 for a setup (bought from fellow knucklehead B2D right after Xmas).

Anyway, thought I'd browse before leaving, and saw 2 AL's on the wall. Now, my local GC has been pretty scarce with MM's, and I've only seen 25th's, Reflexes and the odd AL once in a while. I plucked down a gold one with MM90s and the all RW neck. Yes I know I'm probably late to the party, but:

HO.

LEE.

COW.

I could have stayed there all day. Played like butta. I haven't felt that good playing a guitar in 20 years. That neck profile is amazing. After busting out a few new Luke licks, I actually (for the first time in my life) felt like I was a (GASP) guitar player, rather than some nerd who noodles on the weekends. Maybe Merlin cast a spell on me before I picked it up.

Nice play on words with the Lee in holy-cow lol. I know how you feel since getting my AL HH it has become my favorite Ball and dropped the EVH/Axis to the #2 spot. It really is amazing how hot this guitar has become ever since the double bucker Rose wood neck model was released. I think it also has now boosted the sale of all the AL's.

You're doing better than I am Spud...I've been on a selling spree here lately. I'm down to 4 electric guitars, and 3 of 'em are EBMMs! I figure if it sits in the case, it's not doing me any good!

I was the same way. Been Rocking the SS for some time now as my main guitar and a Les Paul Studio as #2. Well I picked up an AL HH with the rosewood neck a little over a month ago and it has become my #1 by far. The tone is superior for my style compared to my other guitars. I have not touched my LP since I picked up the AL and the SS now is the back up. ALs are amazing guitars simply put. I also feel they are underrated and do not know why they are more popular.

Wow. You found an AL MM90 with all RW neck. A rarity in itself. Beautiful no doubt. I think Keith dropped a pic of one a while back from his Texas GC.

Spud.....great colors on your Als! I've never been happy with a middle pickup, but your SSS matches mine (except for pg/pu color) and I love the black w/black/white/black pg. Someday, I'll get an Al HH with that combo.

AL gas can happen fast trust me I know!!! Anyway those are sweet gold top all rosewood AL,s that GC has and not many made!!

Vito, that particular AL is different than most MM90 AL's as it has a mahogany body. I love those.

Vito, that particular AL is different than most MM90 AL's as it has a mahogany body. I love those.

It was indeed special. Not only was the tone superb, but it just felt better than any guitar I've ever played.

I want a mahog body MM90, like really bad ya know??? REALLY BAD! Sucks to live in Aussieland sometimes.....
