AL neck HH less chunky?

I played the AL humbucker model on two separate occasions and both times the neck felt less chunky near the nut than the older SSS models. Is this right or is it my imagination?

Nah its the same. Rosewood necks ive played on other models can feel a little different too. Ive had many AL's, some have had slightly larger feeling necks though.
