Anybody out there got a photo of an AL with Piezo they could show me?

Would it have another knob? (too many jokes not enough time !) - cos there only seems enough room for two knobs on the scratch plate
- and another one playing it - sorry couldn't resist!!!!

Wow that was quick! thindave, thanks for that.
I got some questions to ask as I'm totally ignorant on the piezo setup !!

I tried out a Luke in my local shop today (no AL in stock) and discovered that there were two jacks - don't laugh, I just don't know about these things!!!

The Piezo sound was fantastic - but would I need another amp in a live situation to use it?

I would like to switch between Piezo and the Seymours mid song.
Could I do this using one lead/amp

Man this is so difficult to explain when you know jack sh*t about it!!!!

Hey no problem - on the AL, there's no switch to change between mag & piezo, you just adjust both volumes.

There are two ways to go about it:

1. You can run two cables - one to your electric ampand one to an acoustic amp or PA
2. You can use a stereo cable out of the stereo jack into either a splitter (EB makes one of those) or what I use, an Ernie Ball 6165 Stereo Pan pedal. This way, you can keep the volumes on the guitar set where you want them and then blend the two tones with the pedal.

While you can play the piezo out of an electric amp, it generally sounds like garbage.

Just played with some friends last night - another nice thing about it is that if you are going into a single electric amp, you can turn up the piezo output a bit to really fatten up a clean sound - adds some nice jangle...

Thats it then, a piezo will be added to my ordered specifications, all I gotta do is explain this to the wife !!!

Piezo - Now that causes another problem - I need a cheap but decent acoustic amp to go with my Marshall 50 combo - any suggestions.

Also whats the price on those stereo pan pedals ?

I forget what the price was, but to make your setup clean, add an ernie ball stereo cable so that you only need to use one cable out of the guitar...
