Albert Lee Headstocks

I've noticed on some online retailer sites that some ALs have headstocks that match the body and others don't. I thought maybe it had to do with them being alder or swamp ash but I don't think that's it. Can someone please clarify?

Matching headstocks are simply another option available on most models!

If I had to guess, more people prefer matching over non-matching, so they order what they know sells.

I for one prefer non-matching, but that's just me.

I wish that rosewood necks were a normal option on all models, and that I could get a AL

Well shorter I doubt the AL HH will be ending anytime soon, so you can be thanful it was not a limited run.

nothing to do with wood. Although you can't get a matching headstock on the BFR Al or the Rosewood necked models
