Hello, I recently purchased this 2007 albert lee and here's a link to the picture,just scroll down a little on the link https://m.facebook.com/mikesimpsonguitar/ cant upload onto here!Could anyone in the know please let me know if all is as it should be?APS 3 in neck and middle and APS 2 in Bridge! The metal plate on the bridge pup looks different to my new albert lee! Also the bridge pup looks the wrong way round??many thanks in advance

Mike- the bridge pickup is the wrong way round. (Doesn't really matter, except for the stagger of the poles.)

That is an aftermarket baseplate. The factory ones are thinner, rectangular, and have openings where the pole pieces are.

Thanks for your knowledge! I thought so! Previous owner must of wanted more twang .I've put the pickup in the right way round! Why do people fu** with guitars ....??????

As announced, I've swapped the bridge pickup for a SD SSL6 (David Gilmour custom).

The output was much lower than expected : it is a slightly hotter SINGLE coil and goes nowhere near humbucker land.

I really love it. Change is rather subtle but essential at the same time : that "bright" side that I didn't enjoy so much is gone!

(I'm no one to contest Albert Lee's choice for HIS signature model.)
