Albert Lee is well balanced???

Hello all,

Been lurking and am considering purchasing an AL. Can it be played while sitting and letting it rest on your leg and it remain balanced? I found the Morse model to be well balanced in the sitting position? Is it neck heavy like my Epiphone Les Paul?

The Al is one of the most comfortable instruments to play sitting down that I've laid my hands on........the angled lower horn really locks it in place on your thigh!! Very comfortable and well balanced instrument to play!!! Just like the Morse...pull your hands away and it will stay set in position.

Yes, the AL is very well balanced as I played one for hours at the NAMM show last year....couldn't put it down. Great axe both visually, balance wise and especially tone wise!

Yep like the others said, well balanced easy to play sitting or standing, great feel both body and neck, and hell no, does not weigh a ton like any Les Paul, while I love and play all my Balls, the AL has become my main practice guitar due to the ease of play and comfort.

My Luke is the same. So was my Axis... Amazing co-incidences when you think about it. What's the chance of ALL those EBMM's being a joy to play eh? Phww...wish I'd put a bet on...

It's so comfortable. Like a strat, but lighter and better balanced. Those anglular horns aren't just for show either - the allow generous fret access without adding a lot of mass, and like somebody else mentioned they provide a good angle for resting on one's leg. Totally great guitar.

Sorry i am late to the AL appreciation Party But yah INCREDIBLE guitar!! Balanced tonal,comfy,not neck heavy @ all just one of the greatest guitar designs in history in my opinion and i have had over 150 vintage guitars go through my house in 20 years and the Al in most impressive!!!!
this is called progress .....EBMM is certainly helping to move the industry forward
