Greetings and Happy New Year to all,
I have just purchased my first EBMM guitar--an Albert Lee with MM90's. Love It!
However, it seems to me that the middle p/up doesn't "pick-up" or amplify the high E string as much or as loud as the other 5 strings. The guitar was purchased used, and the screw directly under the high E string appears to have been raised previously, perhaps to try to address this issue. It still is the weakest sounding string when that P/up is selected. Other two P/up's seem OK. Any thoughts on the subject? Thanks you for any help you may give me...all I can offer in return is a suggestion..... go to YouTube and check out the video of Curtis Mayfield performing "Superfly" live.....
Best Regards from Torrance, California,

Hi RDO and welcome to the Forum and of course the Abert Lee Owners Club (ALOC).

For what it's worth I have just plugged in my AL with MM90's and it doesn't have the same problem.

The pickup itself is no higher than the other 2 p/u's and the screw in the pole piece is not raised one bit.

I guess you have put new strings on it and the string fits nicely in the nut and string saddle?

One rule on this forum - POST PICS OF YER ALBERT !!! ;)
