Just got back from my local guitar dealer, who will place my order through Strings & Things UK. :D

Black Cherry Burst Albert
3 Seymours
Trem
Piezo
White plate, fittings - sh*t, still not sure about this but the shop said that he can change the plate etc for a relatively small charge.

So the wait starts.

The color pickguard is used to determine the color pickups too I think.
A quick phone call to Scott at HQ can confirm (or PM Dargin, same guy).

I feel like a kid waiting for Santa!!!

Jimi, is their an EB catalogue available to the public?

My dealer is gonna try for one from strings & things.
- Just wondering?

_oh yes there will be lots of pickies - I may even post one of my other guitars eagerly waiting for their new buddy.
(Murph, you just gotta go out more!!!!!)

Cool. I ordered a Tobacco Burst AL a couple of weeks ago. I used to have a Black Cherry Burst, they're gorgeous.

My dealer said that there are only certain things that he can do to a new guitar.
Change the pick up covers
Change the scratchplate
any thing else and the guitar has to go back to EB

He said that he had (and pointed to the wall) a pack of black covers so I guess he can change them.

I really wanted an off white (not cream) finish to the scratchplate - to look a little aged.
My mate Dave Dearnaley who builds guitars showed me a blank scratchplate and the colour was described as parchment. He went onto say that he can get covers and knobs to match.
We will have to wait and see about this.
Cheers
