Hello again folks. Questions: (1) How long did Albert Lee play Silhouettes before switching to his signature model? (2) I believe I read that his first Silhouette was equipped with a Tele pickup - were his others fitted with Tele pickups as well? (3) Any forum memembers remember seeing him in concert with one (I know it goes back a ways...)? Thanks.

Thank you "B.P." - though I currently own an early "Pinkburst" AL (which I dearly love) its my desire to someday score an early hardtail Silhouette. The search continues... BTW was the merlot trans guitar a custom or production color?

kai54 See if you can order a back i,ssue of VG magazine with Albert Lee on the cover(I forget the month) but it was this year. He gave a really great interview and talks heavily about his history with Sterling and EBMM, as well as all his gear and early models.

FWIW - I seem to remember in one of "Spuds Xmas Bash" threads, I may have posted a picture of Albert playing a Silo. I may be mistaken?

My works computer blocks all p bucket photos so I can't check right now. I'll take a look when I get home tonight.

"Straycat" - yes, I believe I read that particular issue (he's playing a blond Gibson?) not long ago. Lots of great photos of his collection but, unfortunately, no Silo. It was his comment about his early Silo that spurred this post. "Spud" thanks so much as well! I'd love to see that photo if you can find it. The only photos I can dig up are old Ernie Ball promo shots that pop on Ebay now and then.
