Hi all, I have not posted before and are not sure how this works so here goes.
I am a big Albert Lee fan thanks to Robelinda2 and just love the look of plain colors with sparkle.
These seem to be very thin on the ground. Do you guys see many of them come through the forum and should I jump on a Dargie green model on ebay.
It's US1900 which seems a bit over the odds to me but it sure looks great. If any one has any comment I'd love to hear.

Well i am not sure what they went for at retail but they are very desirable .....the Dargies will certainly go down in history as a great collectible guitar with very few of them around .........my silver Sparkle Albert is a rare gem there was only 1 of these made for production BUT i still gig it albeit carefully .......But here is a shot of all 3 of my Sparkles the Axis A.S.S is "Stratus Blue Sparkle"and 1 of 2 Built the other is a hardtail , the AL is "Silver Sparkle" 1 of 1 and the Sterling Bass is "Midnight Blue Sparkle":D

Forget about the Stratos Blue Sparkle. I want that Gremlin green!!!!
No, wait, I'd take both!!

@lenny: I was about to buy the silver sparkle Axis Sport from Glenn. But it will have to be shipped to Germany. And with all the uncertainty concerning custom fees and import sales tax the baby will get pretty expensive.
But when I imagine my just-received white pearloid pickguard on Glenn's silver sparkle... oh damn... GAS is striking back...: confused:

Do these sparkle colors come as special options not visible on the EBMM website's color chart?

Thanks guys, those sparkles are amazing.
I had been thinking more of the metallic colors I guess. I think I'd have to work pretty hard on my playing before I ventured out in public with one of those beasts. I'd be like the nerdy kid with brand new white runners on.
If anyone has a nice sparkle or solid color AL that is no longer wanted I'd love to know -but whatever you do don't let Robelinda know or he'll snatch it right out from under my nose! Thanks again, Graham.

Rob keeps uses google earth to track every AL that leaves the factory, and has Stirling place a little transponder into each one that beeps whenever the word 'sell' is spoken in the vicinity so that none get by him. I have no idea where he stores them all.

Actually, as I am in the inner sanctum of the Albert Lee Owners Club- I can fill you in on some details but have to leave out the finer details because of secrecy !!
The ALOC intelligence officers intercept all traffic signals(I.E. details of all AL's leaving Obispo) at Goonhilly
We then forward signals on to R2 via the Australian tracking dish at Canberra

Damn, now I've told you too much, & I'll have to kill you - unless of course you get yourself an AL and join up !!
