Thank you Michell. I've bookmarked that page as well. Lots of good info at that site. I'm a huge Albert Lee fan and have a blue pearl AL model that is just great. I'm thinking about getting a vintage burst. I just like the look of that color. Thanks again for you help!

Yeah the vintage burst is stunning, i have one in that color, it's simply beautifull, only thing i personally didn't like was the tortoise pickguard. i replaced it with a cream coloured one. Maybe that sounds like a strange combination haha, but it really gives it a cool vitage vibe.

I like pearl blue a lot also, albert plays one all the time doesn't he?
I'm also a big fan of him, i planning to visit his concert this month here in Holland.

Rock on,

Michell

I wish he was touring here in the states. I hope you get the chance to see him. He gave a clinic here in Mobile, AL back in 93 in which I had the chance to meet him. He signed some CDs for me and a tele that I brought with me. But in a moment of craziness Michell I sold the guitar a few years later. What a dummy! If I knew you could get close enough during his up coming show I'd send you my AL pickguard so you could get him to sign it for me...LOL! I agree about the shell guard on the vintage burst but I am going to order the guitar today as a matter of fact. I'll let you know when it arrives!

Well i guess we all have our moments of craziness, but see it this way: there's no change you're going to regret ordering a vintage sunburst Albert Lee, is there?.

He doesn't seem to tour in the US so much, at least not with his band hogans heroes. But he's always involved in lot's of different projects all around the world. That man has a busy schedule! It's not easy to follow what he's doing and where he's at.

I would defenately love to visit one of his clinics, he's so good.
Seems like a really down to earth nice guy too.

Let me know how you like your burst Al when it arrives,

Michell

ps, i just read on the band's webpage that there will be a new dvd out soon. A full live concert recorded in Paris. Cool!

Thats great to know about the dvd. I'd love to see that. I have some instructional videos and they are a terrific learning tool. Plus just watching him play is just as good. When I saw him at the clinic in 93 he was the nicest most humble person you would ever meet. Pretty neat talking to him and thinking at the same time of all the people he has played with over the years. When I asked him to sign my tele he asked if it was a 52 reissue which it was and he said he had one too. He asked if I was sure I wanted him to sign it and I said I was very sure so he signed the front of the body and also the back of the headstock. Gosh I kick myself for selling it...LOL! If you do get the chance to see his show be sure to let us all know. And I'll let you know how I like the vintage burst when it arrives!
