Hey all.

I'm currently running my electrics into a BH Handsome Devil Head w/ 112 cab. I have a couple of pedals and a Zoom G2.1 (which sounds rather harsh in the front end of the amp....no loop). I also have a couple of acoustic electrics that I'm currently looking to find an amp for. I'm debating picking up a Vox Tonelab Ex (the new one) to replace my current effects set up. I'm thinking it might sound a little more friendly than the Zoom. Assuming the Tonelab plays nice with my tube amp, I might just stay with that and pick up a decent SMALL acoustic amp. But......

I'm curious if anyone has suggestions to an all in one solution? One amp? Bypass the tube amp (can't believe I said it), and run the Tonelab into a powered pa speaker (which hopefully would sound good with the acoustics too)? Run the Tonelab into a powerful acoustic amp?

I also could try the Electro Harmonix 44 Magnum power amp between the Tonelab and my existing 112 cab; to preserve the amp type feel when playing the electrics. Then get a dedicated acoustic amp. Just thinking out loud here.

I'm a home player, but I get to play above living room levels at times. I do spend quite a bit of time doing some late night playing while others are sleeping as well. I'm just trying to get the most compact solution without sacrificing "too much" tone. Money is an object, so I can't go out and drop $2k on a Sedona(?) or similar.

Sorry to drop a bunch of other brand names in here......BALLS RULE!

Thanks for any input!

For what it's worth Luv the AER I use (will be using it live tonight) is an awesome amp for the acoustic sound - think of it as a "Guitar Hi Fi amp".
I really enjoy using it in the house too with a stomp pedal to give me more gain/ crunch. However I understand that the AER for example may be prohibitively priced in the USA.

It kinda depends on how fussy you are about your tone. There isn't a single amp that works for me for both electric and acoustic guitars. But that's just me. My father for example doesn't give a rats a$$ about what he plugs into and still manages for everyone else to like his playing/sound. I just can't have all of the nice electric and acoustic guitars that I do and compromise their sound by not amping them with the best that is out there. I recommend getting a separate acoustic amp or a small PA. The AERs like Sir Spud has are great!
