All those AL pics

I really enjoyed all those AL pics. Looks there are as many MM90 users as strat style single coils...or at least its close. I'm amazed. Those of you who chose MM's over the regular strat style PUPs...what tipped it to the MM's?

I already had a Silo special with 3 single coils and the AL that I have was MM90's already, got it from GC.

I really love those pickups. They seem to suit the AL to a T.

Decided WTF and took a leap of faith on the MM90's based on what I read and the opinions of some fairly knowledgeable folks who frequented the board.

i chose both types of pickups! I wasnt keen on getting a MM90 AL but i found one real cheap and thought why not? Cool tones, but i prefer the single coils any day. They are just the best.

Just for the clarification of any prospective buyers, the MM90s are single coils as well, just a different design. I know you knew that, Rob.

Hmm, what to call the non-MM90s, anyway? Narrow Bobbins? Doesn't have much to a ring to it. "Strat-sized" is kind of lame, too (even though that's precisely what they are).

I love the SSS of my BCB and go back to that rather than the MM90's on my LE AL - I do like the feel of the neck too on my BCB and the Piezo which the LE AL doesn't have.

I think the MM90's are amazing pickups too and I'm sure they will grow on me a lot more.

The trouble is - I'm still on honeymoon with my BCB !!!
