Alnico or Ceramic?

I'm not sure if my new Sterling by MusicMan Ray34 has ceramic or alnico p/ups. The only info I can find says it's a 'MusicMan designed pickup'. Anyone know? Is there a big difference?

And yes, they sound differently. Actually, the whole pickup is different, not only the pole pieces. Use the search function, I think you'll find lots of info on this aspect around here.

I believe the Ray34 has Alnico pickups, like it's Stingray counterpart. I believe all of the SBMM models have the same type of pickups as their EBMM counterparts.
