Alright... I've been away for awhile and would like to know if the new dual pups 'Rays have a 'jazz bass' in their configuration. i.e. Can you get a decent 'jazz' tone from one of the dual pup SR5's?

If so, I might actually only need one bass!!!

To take with me that is......

OK, maybe not...

I use a Humbucker with a single coil option on mine, Its nails a nice active jazz tone
great for slap and finger style. Haven't pllayed a 5 string dual ray yet, but my Bongo is an H/sc config and I llove it for all styles. Its my full tiime bass and the only one I use.
I'll probabably get a stingray with a Humbucker /single coil option in fretless.

That HS confriguration looks like a perfect single H Stingray, jazz bass, hybrid ... All you'd need with that was a stand alone piezo option for the double bass sound ... and you'd probably be set up for it all :) ...
