You've got to do what works for you, so best of luck. Let me know how the shootout goes; video it if you can (asking a bit aren't I?). :)

Just bought what is going to be my last Ecstasy, lest I want to go through a divorce. If yours has a metal grill headshell I'd buy the shell and give you my wheat one. Please?!?!?! :D
Hmmm...

Wanna buy another Ecstasy? Hahah

I'm gonna head up to Friedman's shop in NoHo next weekend and give the Naked a shootout with my Ecstasy. Whichever one I like more is coming home with me.

Mine is a metal front with a gold logo. I'll cut you a deal... how about the headshell with the amp inside of it for $2250 plus actual shipping? :D

In all honesty, just swapping shells and spending money on shipping for that is a little more trouble than I want to go through right now.

Can't video the shootout but I can detail the crap out of it in a written review. ;)

Ah, you're killing me. If I'd had a shot at this a month ago, you'd have made a sale; killer deal there. I hear you about swapping shells and such, it is a pain, but I was hopeful. :)

Well, let me know about your shootout if you get the chance. BTW, what guitar are you usually running with your amp? I am using my Axis a lot and the Ecstasy seems to love it; such a great sound for me.

Best of luck on your tone-quest; Lord knows, I never seem to stop chasing, even when I should.

I'm using my Silo Special and a Sterling Silo 30 at the moment. I have a Strat but it's kind of a beater at the moment.

Next time I get a new guitar it's going to be a customized Stinnett SS with the same woods as an Axis - maple top with a basswood body. Alder's OK but I like basswood topped with maple a little more. Sometimes bolt-on mahogany guitars have this boing-y sound with the low E and A and I hate that.

I'm going to Freidman's ship in North Hollywood Friday... will let all know how it goes!
