Back to the point Matt... It took me a few months to get used to my 5 stringer last year. I played it exclusively for the first couple of months to force me to learn the mechanics. I kept asking the guitar player at gigs "what key are we in and which sting is it". But then it sank in and I really dug hitting the low C or D notes at the ends of some songs for emphasis. I grabbed my trusty 78 SR4 for a gig about 5 months ago and found myself really missing the B string. It took a few songs but all my 4 string habits and mojo quickly reappeared. So for me, I really love having both (which is why I bought your Bongo 4). It’s interesting but when I'm on my 4, my brain is in a different place than my 5ers. It's hard to explain, but I tend to play with more finesse when on the 5.

Maybe you’ll have to go for a 5er on your next one…
