Amazing what that skinny single coil in my newly aquired Bongo does to tone, try it and see. And no, it's nothing like the neck H :)

Okay, I know this is a radical approach, but if there's a certain sound you're after, why not find an already-in-production model that meets your needs. With all the quality builders out there, there has to be one that suits your tastes. And if you can't find one, then you're just too damned picky. :cool:

After much soul searching, I've decided to experiment on a passive SUB when one surfaces at the right price. I'll try to make future threads/posts more agreeable for ya'll.

Sounds like the right decision to me ....

I personally wouldn't mod a 30th Anniversary, they're rare enough already and you'll mess up the resale value, I agree if you want to experiment try a Sub or OLP ...
