Amazing the convo you get into when you wear a Music Man Jacket!!

I pulled into the petrol forecourt last night and took another mortgage out to fill up my petrol tank.

A guy in a van said to me "Hey man where can I get one of those jackets ?"

I felt like saying "visit Spud's on line Xmas Bash" but the convo would have gone on too long. hee hee

I explained how I had got it then mentioned that I had a MM EVH guitar in the boot.

he asked if he could see it - and he was blown away by it.

Lucky I wasn't wearing my "that top sucks" T shirt!! - otherwise I'd never have made rehearsals.

A few weeks ago the president of our homeowners assoc. came by to discuss a few things. Didn't know her but we had a nice chat and she stayed almost an hour. During which time i realized i was wearing my THAT TOP SUCKS shirt!!

Funny timing on this thread! Just went to a coffee shop with my wife (actually there right now) wearing my EBMM T shirt and the guy behind the bar (? - I'm not a coffee drinker) saw my shirt and started this whole conversation about EBMM and their basses and Leo Fender working for them and yadda yadda yadda......

You never know when or where you're going to run into another knucklehead!

Its a good question. I know it is on the BFR tess but i dont get it maybe because i am a dumb englishman. Can anyone put us out of our misery

That top sucks is something that appears when the first BFR were released. Few people were complaining about the so call "not so good looking" top on the BFR.

As a joke BP, decided to create a T Shirt "that Top Sucks" for one the EBMM bash party

I once said that PUSM FEST was a jam session of female porn stars on the east coast. Not sure they bought it.

For those that weren't around, PUSM FEST was a steve morse model intro that Dubaldo threw at his store back in '05. PUSM was part of the code and we all just giggled like kids at how it sounded so pete made up some shirts.

Hee hhe - Hi guys. Been working away and my laptop (under warranty) is kapput, so haven't been able to log on.

Liking the posts on the thread about convos we have got into over our MM addiction.

I had an awesome convo yesterday but I'm waiting on a certain guitar dealer in the UK to maybe post something - now that's a teaser ain't it??

Hey AGT / TNT - The jacket - How did I get it (them!)?

Do you remember when you were a kid and all you wanted to do was work in a sweet shop?
Well when I grew up I got some opportunities to do something just like that and meet some of the great guys visiting the sweet shop!!

I worked for Strings n Things at some major exhibitions(Music Live 09, LIMS 09, Guitar Nation 10, Albert Lee Clinic London) and had to be kitted out so I was given my uniform of a fleece MM jacket. I worked with the guys helping with the bashes and have met the likes of Albert Lee, the Jamiroquai lads, Steve Vai, the Bushman Bros and saving the best for last .... The Devil !!

So here's shots of the jacket, which I don't bleeb is available for sale

With regard to "That Top Sucks" shirt - which I also have, it all seems to have been covered here.

My version (mirroring what's been said).
The BFR guitars had come out and MM was being flamed because poor quality photos were being used by dealers and were being posted on other forums.

On these sites, people were saying that the Tops were cr4p, and why should you have to pay money for something like that.
Comments were made "That Top sucks". So MM posted a sticky that has good quality photos. So if you see a comment on any thread here that says THAT TOP SUCKS it's a knucklehead term of endearment. The T shirt went into production and you can still buy one from the web site.
