I finished my amp baffle and I have to say so far I'm digging it . I can crank it a bit more and its not so I'm your face but it sounds good . It's getting a gig trial tomorrow night we shall hear what happens .
I will update on Sunday and hopefully the sound guy doesn't complain the Marshall is too loud still.

A friend one mine have one in front of his 4x12 (with a Mesa Nomad 90w) and it change the tone a lot in the higher frequency.

First set is over and so far great it's crank but not blaring the people in from and it's got such a good tight bass and mids are kicking. Have got a lot of complements on the tone so far.
So far so good looks like it wi be a keeper .

hmmmm........, interesting since it just eliminated most of the highs. I percieved that your goal was twofold - volume control and "edgyness of the in your face.

You can accomplish "both" of those goals without smuthering your tube tone. Simply direct the amp "upward" towards your ears/roof. This will have a "natural" diminishing of the edgyness as well as control the volume. Plus, you can't still get good tube saturation. It will also "fill" the room at wich you are playing.

The amp has a mic on it so it is filling the room through the pa and I don't want it pointing up I'm saving my ears. I tried pointing it up and amp stands and all sorts of things this one for me has been the best.
Plus I have never have had that many compliments in one night on how good the guitar and amp sound.

I'm glad you love it and have a good experience with it. I didn't when I tried one. I guess it depend on so many factor: position, room, dimension, etc.

I've considered doing one of those... my walls have very reflective paint on them and makes things sound overly trebly... I've started putting foam on the walls, but its a very large room and will be a LOT of foam... this might be a better solution... how does it change the tone for you?
