Hey. I'm using an old Peavey 'Rage 158' because thats all I have around. The overdrive is not working. As I am not experianced at all when it comes to fixing amps (or even knowing exactly what does what), I want to not shatter it into a million pieces as I remove the cover covering the electronics. Which, by the way, I seem to have trouble doing too. Please refrain from throwing vegetables at my unexpirience. I've only been playing for a few weeks.

That's a solid state amp, I'm not sure you want to mess with it.

Besides, if mess around inside an amp and don't know what you're doing, you could get injured. Even though it's unlugged the capacitors can still hold a charge big enough to wallop you.

If the clean channel is still working, and you're on a budget, find yourself a cheap distortion pedal.
