How much jink are you looking to spend?
You can get a decent Ampeg 1/2 stack for about a grand, if you go with one of the B-R heads, and a 4X cab

This is what I got, it didnt break my bank, and it sounds like a champ. I slap and it pops some sweety tones. I also play alot of harder music where I need some deeper tones, and the rig is not lacking in that department either.

Find it used, and you get an even sweeter deal. :D

Gallien-Krueger 400RB combos rock. You can get a 2x10 or 1x15 version for around 800 bucks. 150 watts as a combo, but if you add an 8 ohm extensin cab it pushes a loud 240 watts. My rig is a 400RB 2x10 combo with a GK 4x10 RBH under it. Very nice growly tone with my StingRay and P-Bass.
