Having one on here isn't a bad idea - discussing different amp combos with different EBMM guitars isn't a bad idea. But tone is so relative.

What kind of amp are you using, and what's wrong with it?

Matt Bruck, the guy who writes tech articles for "Guitar World," published a tube amp maintenance and repair pamphlet a while back. You might be able to find something in their archives.

It's a brand new 2 day old EVH 5150 III head which when turning it on this morning I noticed that the two outer 6L6GC output tubes weren't working ie no light in them, so i removed the rear grill panel and removed the tubes. I then replaced them with another set of matched JJ 6L6GS's and the two outer tubes where still not working so i then changed them around taking the lit tubes out of the middle and putting the unlit tubes from the outside in the middle, and they worked in the middle so it's not a tube problem? I also checked all the fuses and they are fine?

I don't know much about those amps, but does it have a half power switch, that may account for the two outer tubs being off.
On the bright side it's only a few days old, why not just take it back to the store you bought it from and let them sort it out?

Good thought. I've been looking and don't see a half power feature on the amp.

Take it back. Probably a simple internal disconnection, but since you bought it new, it's not your problem.

According to my Delta Blues warranty the Peavey warranty is Euro wide.....so you should be able to contact the local distributor
