Bugera amps yet??

I'm curious about what appears to be an amp based on the Mesa Mark 4/5 series of amps.

BUGERA: MAGICIAN

Also wanting to try the ones that seem to be based off Matchless and Bad Cat amps.

They seem to be adding their own twist onto the amps as well.
Maybe in a couple years they might put out some original designs?

i've always liked them for the price point... i was going to pick up a V55HD in a partial trade for my Mesa Boogie V-Twin Pedal but the trade didn't happen as they wanted to give me the all cash which i was ok with.
i think for the price point you really can't go wrong. With anything you're going to get pieces that are slightly better than others but all in all they seem like a great product.

Kinda gets annoyin when all anyone talks about these is just Behringer's business practices.
It says rrp for the magician is £700 ish.

Hope it gets a bit cheaper than that really.

i think with anything there's a good and a bad...

A while ago i was talking to some folks on the forum seeking advice on an amp... i was looking at Mesa, Blackstar and a few others... and i borrowed a Carvin MTS3212 from my uncle... i was completely blown away. It was everything i was looking for... I've received a bit of grief over owning a Carvin by friends who hadn't heard me play though it.
(shortly thereafter i had an opportunity to snag an Orange Ad30 for next to nothing and pulled the trigger)
but i still use the carvin on a regular basis... it didn't cost me an arm and a leg and i've got an amp that gets great tone...
if you can dial in the bugera and it fits your style and needs i say go for it... you just might end up liking it...

I think the Bugera's sound excellent, the 6260/6262 being good examples. I have serious issues with the quality though. I personally know 5 guys with bugera amps that all had to have them serviced. Ranging from broken inputs to faulty pots to burned out pcb's and tube-holders. I spoke to two amp-techs that said they encountered 30 broken Bugera's between them in 1,5 years. They are just not built strong enough. I don't know if the build-quality on these newer models has gone up, the price-increase might indicate that. It's a shame really, because like I said, they sound awesome for what they cost. I know I would love to check out that new MkIV-model.

We got two into the store, both set themselves on fire, end of story.

I've heard such bad stuff about Bugera - It's hard to know what to believe because I've heard things ranging from their the best amps ever to I plugged it in for the first time and a mushroom cloud instantaneously appeared over the city I live in.
Full disclosure: I have a Blackstar HT5c and a Marshall DSL401 (upgraded with a Celestion Classic Lead) that I use with my ebmm's.

Good and Bad with Bugera's. I have seen them and played through them. They sounded good....not great....but at that price point a decent amp. It's the reliability issues I have read/seen that makes me steer clear of them. A dude in a local band had a brand new one and we got to see some "special effects" as his amp died on him in the middle of a set.

Who knows if the build quality has gone up? Hope so cause I am sure they are getting beat down with the warranty services having to be done.
