Hi everyone

I have no idea how this guy built up his amazing chops, but wow is he one stunning bass player.

It tends to be the slap bassists/jazz/funk guys who get the talent credit, but Brian is one of the best punk bass players Ive even seen. in fact, he is one of the best bassists Ive ever seen live, mixing sheer mad chops with incredible melodic lines.

Check out his tapping on 'The Horse'!

I went to see A Wilhelm Scream with Strike Anywhere and Pennywise last night, and Brian's playing is even more intense live. Im pretty sure his is an EB MM artist anyway, and rightly so.

His 3 band EQ 4 string Ray sounded absolutely fantastic.

I checked this out after reading your post, as you say it does tend to be the slap, jazz funk, jaco esque who seem to hog the covers of most bass mags etc..

This guy is one very mean bass player, very impressed, def my thing, plays a Ray to, so man of taste, cheers man, a new one on the list to go and buy stuff of.
