Thanks for the CD and the knobs! Great stuff man! I really appreciate it. I put the CD in my car and have listened to it a lot. Very nice stuff. I like the last song and the third song the best! I am not good with song names, but those were really nice! Take it easy Norm and thanks again!

The last song is titled “Unmitigated Hope”. The title was inspired by a line from a movie where Peter O’Toole was an eccentric doctor visiting a comatose patient. He said “What I prescribe is blind faith and unmitigated hope”. The musical idea was inspired by EVH and the closing theme from Twister. The Third song is “Low Heat Sam”. While writing out a set list one night some one said “Play what ever melts your butter”. I’m thrilled the package found you and found you well.

It was great Norm! Thanks for letting me know about the songs too, that is very cool! I also really liked your lead tone on most of the songs. What are you playing through? It sounded great!

Yes the CD is available. If you email me I will give you all the information you need to know. It is completely instrumental and I did everything except the art work for the cover. Drums, bass, synth, guitar, recording, mixing, writing, producing, burning, packaging, printing... everything. The guitars on the CD are two of my silos and the Steve Morse on track 2. Everything was recorded directly (no microphones were used in the recording) and recorded using "Deck" software for Mac. I hear about all the improvements that Pro Tools has made recently and all I can think is that, I have been able to do that for years.

All of the guitars were played through a Johnson Millennium and like I said recorded directly. True stereo Digitech S-Disc effects and 150 watts with 12AX7 tubes. Switching capabilities that rival my BD piezo silo w/ EMG's

This project took about 9 months to complete and it was WORK! Even though I mix audio for live bands on TV every week, I re-emphasized that mixing is truly an art.

You can hear most of the CD (and other cool songs) on the WWW tonight (5-24-04) at 11:00PM PDT. See this link for more information.
