Well, I dropped back in here a number of weeks ago just to check in and I ended up sticking around and perusing many old threads for fun. As some of you may know I sold all of my Balls a while ago for various reasons. This is a quite a fun place and it still seems as friendly and fun as it always was! :)

Anyways, on to the topic: as I was going through the "Post pics of your guitars" thread I experienced some nasty pangs in my gullet. Viewing photos of guitars you sorely miss posted by their new owners! :( When I saw my old AL and my old 20th Silo proudly displayed by another member my heart really sank! The lesson - if I ever get any more Balls - DO NOT SELL THEM!

Maybe someday I can officially become a knucklehead again - and maybe even a member of the ALOC too! Wish me luck - and keep your Balls to yourself for your own well being! ;)

You are welcome to stick around!

Hey thanks BP! That really does mean a lot. And I will! This place is a really nice sanctuary in the world of internet forums. The people are great, the knowledge unsurpassed, the signature Artists are ridiculously accomplished (and all are really nice guys to boot!), the EBMM staff are helpful and polite, the knuckleheads really do act like a family - you really do have an oasis here. I can see NO reason not to stick around. :)

Thanks!

Welcome Home !

The only persons who will take my Balls are my two children, as part of their heritage ! (but I hope they will have to wait for quite a long time !)

Very true. I haven't posted in a while although I also still pop in fairly regularly to see what's going on.

I'm still the proud owner of 9 Balls but have been trying not to get sucked into adding any more as I do feel guilty about having too many severely underplayed guitars.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not really mentally suited to be a collector, but once I've bought I find it very hard to part with any!

PS: I'm actually glad that limited edition GC Bahama Blue JP BFR is not available in Europe as I'd have struggled to stay away from that one!:D

There are two camps of guitarist, guys who can buy and flip guitars on a steady basis and those who cant let go of anything unless something comes up and they are forced to due unseen cash flow problems, or maybe they just did not mesh with a certain guitar like they thought.

Over the last three years I have seen a tremendous amount of guys who had to part with guitars they would never let go of do to the economy or getting laid off. Even on ebay over that span their were a ton of great guitars that sold for much less than would be expected as you could tell the seller needed money -Fast, and most of the lead ins were I have to pay my mortgage, car payment or medical bills.

I feel for anyone who had to lose an instrument due to any of those situations. But as we all know one minute your down and then things turn around, and it is a never ending cycle throughout your life no matter your stature. But at least if things are going bad and you play guitar all you need is one and it will be your wife, best friend and therapist all rolled into one. I do not know what it is but there is serious power in the ability to make music, which all of this is about. And we are fortunate to play EBMM which I am a believer are the best guitars out there, and for those who are in a down period the minute things change there is one with your name on it waiting for you.
