Analog VS Digital delay for Bass

So, what is everyone openion on the Analog Vs. Digital delay on the bass?

Do you guys prefer digital or analog? and why?

If you use delay, what's your preference?

Delay units that don't have master level knobs always scared me, for the fear of loss or boost in the overall volume. Any openions?

What style of music are you playing? Are you using delay for spacey effects and loopping, or as a substitute for chorus?

I like short analog delay as a great chorus substitute, or for the Pink Floyd bass sound on The Wall, for example.
