So, I was thinking of calling up Nick at Beller's Music. Then, I saw a puff of smoke on my right shoulder. Then, a little angel who looked surprisingly like me appeared. The little angel on my shoulder said, "What the heck are you doing? You shouldn't be doing this. Seriously."

Another puff of smoke went off on my left shoulder. A little devil with my face appeared with his green, color-shifting pitchfork. The little devil on the other shoulder said, "Well, BP said that people ask for special stuff, but when it's time to put their money where their mouth is, they don't actually buy. So, damn it...Let's buy to prove him wrong and to keep EBMM making cool special edition stuff!!! Don't you want to prove BP wrong? Heh-heh. Besides, you'll make Dargie feel good that you ordered one of his guitars! He'll be able to go to BP and say, 'See, Dad. I made green guitars sell. Twice!!!'"

The angel said, "You really don't have the money right now." I nodded, resigned not to order.

The little devil said, "Well...actually you do. You were just saving for something else. Plus, it's payday later this week. So, go ahead. What's the difference? It'll be months before you actually have to pay the balance." I nodded thinking he's got a point.

The angel said, "Well, if you're going to listen to him don't get a BFR then. It's too expensive. If you're going to buy one of these, get the Luke, a regular JP6, or a regular JP7." I nodded thinking he had a point.

The little devil commented, "Come on...that's an awful lot of money for a Luke or a regular JP. You can get a cheaper Luke or JP later. The BFR JP6 has this great paint all over it. See my pitchfork? See how cool it is? Only a little more than what you paid for your other BFR JP6, and you've got this paint, the new JP pickups, and ebony. Don't forget the tone block. Don't forget how good that sounds with the alder and the maple. Come on...this is the smart play here. Remember how disappointed you were that you missed out on the original Dargie's? Don't miss this opportunity. Order it, and you can get back to the stuff you're supposed to be doing. You can then do your work without distraction! Quit thinking about it, and pull the trigger. End the agony of your indecision. Don't worry about the 25th Anniversary guitar. You can get it later after they put the Game Changer in it. Come on. Do it already."

I caved. The little angel went off disappointed in me. The little devil winked mischieviously [cue little bell tone with the wink and fade to black].

DD2 BFR JP6 on order with Dubaldo Music Center/Beller's Music.

Thanks, Pete. Thanks, Nick. Yes, October is awfully close! I am acutely aware of that due to another "deadline" I have.

There is a song from Rory Gallagher album Jinx called "The Devil Made Me Do It" ... you will have to play it with your DD2 !
