I've been dealing with some guitar issue for a while now and Dan McPherson has been there every step of the way. Jon helped out a bunch too.
It seems like a unique issue and very random, but they continue to help me out.
That's a big reason why I play EB guitars.
I saw the new JP model in 2000 when Dream Theater's Live Scenes from NY DVD came out. The piezo feature blew me away. I loved the look of the guitar too. I knew it was the one for me. 2 years later, I ordered the guitar in Mystic Dream finish from an online retailer. My mom and dad were helping me buy the thing cuz they knew how enamored i was with DT and the guitar sound.
A week after I ordered the guitar and 1/2 payment was down, my dad passed away suddenly. I found him lying in the back yard where he was working. It was a brain hemorrhage, although at the time i thought it was a heart attack. Mom and I had to call and they generously canceled the order for us due to the circumstances. I was pretty sad about that.
3 years later, a friend heard what happened and he bought me a Mystic Dream JP6 from a local store. I was stoked! Best guitar I ever played. I started gigging on guitar way more seriously and people here were amazed at what the guitar sounded like, and all its features.
Played that JP6 for a couple years. Had that random unique problem, to which EB CS responded quickly and helped out. My mom saw my sudden jolt of energy towards playing guitar, and she said it was the best guitar she had ever heard. She was a major label recording artist back in the day and was my main reason for being involved in music to begin with. Unfortunately she had been getting sick over the years after my dad's passing, and last year she lost her battle with cancer. Totally crushed me.
Music is really my only expression. I don't collect guitars, and i'm not the type to buy a bunch of stuff i don't use. But i was recently blessed with some extra money, and totally bought a bunch of JP guitars. 2 2007 LEs, and ultimately 4 BFRs
eek:
) They all play flawlessly.
I have a sort of an attachment to this guitar for sentimental value of my parents. They knew how much I loved DT and how that guitar just totally inspired me. EB CC keeps my guitars in top shape. I can't play any other guitar. I really can't. I even take this to all my "acoustic" gigs and it outperforms anything else on the stage. People always comment on my tone, and just how good the guitar sounds.
Anyways, a peer into my life as of late. I'm not a major recording artist. Just a 3 time a week gigging musician. It's so nice to be with a company who will take the time for the "normal" user.
Thanks again guys! EB user for life!
