Hi guys im gonna make this short. Basically i already have an axis ss and also want the axis, but dont really know if i should get one cos im only 18 and the tremelo on the axis ss is pretty stable. aside from the floyd rose and controls, is it any different, in tone wise. I love the floyd but it is a bit excessive getting another ernie ball and just make do with the one i already got (and love)?? I just wanna get a bit of feedback off you guys, its just I may be buying another guitar soon???

It sounds to me like you've already answered your question for yourself ;)

Wait it out, and think about it a while. Honestly, the musicman tremelo is a far better system than a floyd if you ask me. As you said it is very stable, and it isn't a pain at all. I've heard there is a little bit of a tonal difference but from the sound of your question, I think you should wait. Maybe get an amp :D

Between an Axis (Floyd) and an Axis Super Sport I'll get an Axis Super Sport any day

As you already got one try to grap an Axis Sport :)

yeah cheers guys, its just the floyd also looks so damm cool and ive heard that the axis has a slightly fuller tone??? Its so anoying that ernie ball dont just make a guitar with the features of both the axis and axis ss. Im also a miffed about getting a signiture guitar, which means i may get a strat or something. I really love my axis ss and i was wondering whether getting the axis is an excessive thing, but i was wonderig tonally they're not different??? Would any of you guys trade your axis ss for an axis??

It seems also from the feedback that most of you guys think that the axis ss is a better guitar than the axis??

I would think the SS has a full tone... the floyd colors the sound. Which one is better? Apples and oranges really, but if you ask me, I'd take an SS any day (and I'm a metal playing, tremelo abusing fool) ;)

I have the original Axis and it is just plain awesome. I'm sure the Axis SS is similarly good. Maybe you should consider a Silo or Morse. If you like the Floyd, you can get either of those models with one.
