Another Damn Amp Question

OK I know I have asked as well as others about amps but this is very specific,

I have been testing and need to know if anyone has comments or feedback on the following amps.

Soldano Astroverb Combo 1X12 or the Mesa Express 5:25, while I have not tested these since I can not find one locally, I have tried other amps by the same makers and love what I heard from both. I have narrowed my search to one or the other since they fit my budget.

Any thoughts,input ,etc. would be appreciated as always

I had the Astroverb Head, which allows greater versatility than the combo. You can drop it on a quad cab or a 1 or 2x12 cab of your choice, and different cabs make a big difference in the over all sound you get.

Very nice amp, imo, but EL84 power tubes have their own thing goin' on, which isn't my cup of tea. 18 watts of Soldano power and headroom is very impressive indeed. Think Allman Brothers Band and you'll get a pretty good idea idea of the Astro's vibe. I'm sure pedals can bring it into other zones, though. Good quality amp.

OK as much as I hate to bump this, just wanting to see if I can get a little more feed back.

I know it may make little sense to narrow down to two amps I have not tried, here is my reasoning, one both fit my monetary budget, both are tube and both are in the right wattage range and I really liked what I heard from both on the models I did try.
