Question Another EBMM...but which one?

Hey up guys
I am in a position to get another EBMM
I am not sure which to go for as i know they will all sound great. I play only rock and blues and i have an ASS at the moment. I am interesed in 1) ASS BFR 2) Silhouette or 3) JP model.

Please help me !!!!!!

Hello Jamie,

I recently bought an Axis BFR and I am so happy. Get a roasted neck guitar while they are available. They are amazing.

For me, the location of the toggle switch on the bass side horn is in a bad place on the JP. My arena-rock picking arm goes a little crazy sometimes, and I hit it by accident. But I love that body carve for your arm...

Or Silo. After getting my Silo SSS, I definitely need to get an HSS too. This thing sounds monster.

Nice dilemma you have ! In term of guitar choice, you can be guided by the aspect of the guitars (color, shape). In my case, I try to consider first the sonic aspect.
The first question is : what type of pickup do you need ? If your ASS has humbuckers, perhaps it's time to consider Single Coils or P90.
If you play blues / rock, you definitely need single coils if you want to play some Rory Gallagher or Hendrix songs.
After the pickups choice, you have to choose tremolo or hardtail and the shape.
Personally, I try to have diversity : a Morse for humbuckers and single coils sound, a MM90 ASS for P90 sounds and the SUB for metal sounds and tremolo.

In any case, you cannot go wrong with a MusicMan !

I tend to agree- you've already got humbuckers covered, so perhaps try something else. If you like single coils try an SSS Albert Lee. Or for beefier single coil sounds, try an MM90 Albert Lee or Axis Super Sport.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think I will go for the Silhouette and try out those single coils. Ultimately I will get all the ones that have been suggested if of course I can swing it by the missus. Do your wifes/girlfriends know how much the EBMM actually cost as mine thinks they are just another cheap boys toy I have. If she knew I would be a dead man.

I have decided on getting a Luke. I have my eye on a lovely black one and once i pick it up i will post some pics to comply with the forum #1 rule....it does not exist until the pics are on

Good decision... I love the AL or the Morse but the Luke is an awesome balance with the Axis.
