Hello,

I hate to ask a question that’s probably already been killed on the forums, but...

I have 3 stingrays with different necks and fretboards... a solid rosewood neck with a rosewood board, a roasted maple neck with an ebony board, and a waxed maple neck with a maple board.

I use lemon oil to clean and condition the rosewood neck and board, polish on the roasted neck cause it's urethaned, lemon oil on the ebony board, and I have no clue what to use on the waxed maple... I've heard not to use lemon oil on maple?

Ernie Ball recommends gunstock oil and wax... but it's unclear if that's for the neck and board. I know that I could call, but I wanted to get some feedback from other MM owners...

I deally, I'll find one product that works on all of them, but I'm not too optomistic there. I've always used Dunlop cleaning and care products, and I'm about to switch to the Ernie Ball stuff of course... My bases all came with Ernie Ball product sample packets, but the only information they give is not to eat them. Thanks!

EB have put their Cleaning products into awesome little 6 packs. I buy the Combo Pack (1 Fretboard Conditioner, 2 Instrument Polishers, 3 String cleaners) which is a great way to buy them with my strings once a month.

I use the Fretboard Conditioner on the Ebony & Rosewood boards and the Instrument Polish on the Finish necks (e.g. Sabre, Classic SR5) as well as the rest of the instrument and the String Cleaner I use after gigs or any extended use. I find the cleaning products run out around the same time I need to buy strings again :)

You gotta love a Company like EBMM that has working players within it. It shows in everything they do!
