........this baby just keeps getting better and better each time I have a chance to play out with it. Our drummer who is an accomplished musician on guitar also, comments most about it. It's the best sounding bass with the best tone that I have owned in the 14 years since I started playing Bass, (and God knows I've went through quite a few different Basses), he agrees all the more.

I'm starting to get the feel for the EQ, which makes it easier to adjust and fine tune my tone while playing.......

What GREAT a Bass.........:D

My neighbor complained about the noise for the very first time. I think it was the Dargie running through two SVTs, an 810, a 410 and a 115 that finally did me in.

She just doesn't know how to appreciate a good bass tone and tube OD.

I took my DD Bongo 5 HSP to the Talkbass GTG. Got lots of complements on the looks. A lot of people told that the bass didn't look weird in green. The Nordstand guys were impressed with the electronics too ;) Thats a complement.

Yup.

It involved taking Mobay45's H Bongo where it's never been before (all the way up to the 24th fret on the G string, complete with sweet singing sustained distortion), and the 07 LE's first gig outing.

Blue Dawn pics in another thread....

I had a great Bongo experience as well. I was running up some stairs with the bass in a cheap gigbag that was strapped over my shoulder. The cheapo strap broke just as it reached the top of the stairs and the bass and gigbag went tumbling down the stairs.

I took out the Bongo immediately and...
no dings (there are a few already on this bass, but nothing new), no bent knobs, no screwed up tuners or anything! It was just out of tune. Built like friggin tanks I tells ya. :D

+1.

Just WHY the H-E-DOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS would you trust a $1000+ bass to a $29 gig bag??????

Spend money on your case. Get one that you can really abuse. That way you can chuck it around, hand it to baggage handling gorillas, drive the odd truck over it, etc. and IT will get trashed, not your precious bass.

I don't like pretty cases like the ones that come with LEs. A case is armor. Armor is meant to get beaten upon and protect the beautiful fragile object inside from harm. I want armor that is serious. I don't give a rip what it looks like. I want it to WORK. I want it to be able to fall off a truck moving at highway speed and have the bass come out unscathed. I want to be able to throw the case into the back of my car and not give a rip about damaging it. I DON'T want to worry about having my bass get damaged from mere transport.

Now, having your guitar stand fall over, that's another matter.... GUILTY!!!

There are few worse sounds in a musician's life......
